Job Description

To strenght our team we are looking for a timely limited assignment (12 months) as a Commissioning & SCADA Manager. In this role you will be responsible for leading commissioning activities and SCADA deployment for GE Vernova onshore wind projects across EMEA. The role ensures safe, compliant, and timely turbine commissioning, reliable SCADA integration, and effective coordination between engineering, construction, grid, and service teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage commissioning and SCADA activities for onshore wind projects across EMEA
  • Ensure safe execution of commissioning in compliance with GE Vernova EHS standards and local regulations
  • Oversee turbine, balance‑of‑plant, and grid‑related commissioning activities
  • Manage SCADA system deployment, configuration, testing, and handover
  • Coordinate interfaces between commissioning, electrical, grid, IT, and service organizations
  • Ensure compliance with customer technical requirements, grid codes, and contractual obligations
  • Support project schedules, cost control, and risk mitigation related to commissioning and SCADA scope
  • Lead and mentor commissioning engineers and SCADA specialists
  • Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and lessons learned across the EMEA region
  • Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of commissioning or SCADA issues

Requirements (Must‑Have):

  • Minimum: 3 years of professional electrical education
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in wind turbine commissioning, grid integration, and SCADA systems
  • Proven experience managing onshore wind commissioning projects in EMEA
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Wind turbine commissioning processes
    • Electrical and grid integration (HV/MV substations, protection, testing)
    • SCADA architectures, data communication, and cybersecurity basics
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams or cross‑functional stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of EHS requirements in construction and commissioning environments
  • Experience working with utilities, TSOs, and customers
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the EMEA region
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Desired / Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with GE Vernova wind turbines and SCADA platforms
  • Strong electrical and network technology background
  • Knowledge of EMEA grid codes and country‑specific commissioning practices
  • Experience with remote monitoring, fleet performance tools, or digital wind solutions
  • Familiarity with IEC standards and wind turbine certification processes
  • Additional language skills (e.g., German, Spanish,)
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset with the ability to operate in fast‑paced project environments
  • Experience driving process standardization and operational excellence initiatives
