Wood is currently recruiting for a Commissioning Safety - LOTO Coordinator (Mechanical) to join our team for a large-scale challenging construction project. What makes you remarkable?

LOTO Coordination & Execution

  • Implement and coordinate all Mechanical LOTO procedures
  • Interpret work scope, drawings, P&IDs, and other relevant documentation to determine proper mechanical isolations
  • Verify isolation points and issue LOTO certificates
  • Issue, modify, and close LOTO permits, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure locks and tags are correctly placed and removed

Field Oversight & Compliance

  • Conduct field inspections to ensure LOTO compliance
  • Ensure all protective measures listed in the permit are in place before authorizing work
  • Perform audits of LOTO permits, including field verification
  • Confirm systems/equipment are restored to a safe configuration after work completion

Administration & Control

  • Maintain LOTO equipment and registers
  • Maintain a current list of Authorized Permit Requestors
  • Accept and process LOTO requisitions only from authorized personnel
  • Control, track, and report all LOTO permits

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with construction, pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and HSE teams
  • Provide LOTO training and participate in incident investigations
  • Support safe work planning and system handover activities
  • Diploma or degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience
  • Appropriate level of commissioning experience in relevant industry sector, typically a minimum of 7 years of engineering experience if degree qualified OR trade discipline qualified with a minimum 10 years relevant practical experience
  • Good standard of general computer literacy
  • Fully conversant with regards to discipline technical knowledge
  • Proven experience of interpreting discipline documentation
  • Ability to monitor work progress and report against the plan
