Job Description

We are currently seeking a Commissioning Manager, reporting directly to Project Manager to join our team based in West Papua, Indonesia.

About the role:

Commissioning Manager reports to the Site Manager while on Site, is responsible for the comprehensive management of System Completions through Construction phase, Pre-Commissioning, Mechanical Completion, Commissioning and Start-up. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitor Construction and Quality activities.
  • Database Management.
  • Reporting and Documentation.
  • Communication and Verification.
  • Project Coordination.
  • Compliance and Engagement.
  • Monitoring and Review.
  • Technical Oversight.
  • Safety and Quality Assurance.
  • Development of the Commissioning Strategy.
  • Review and Approval of Contractor Commissioning Processes and Procedures.
  • Manage Pre-commissioning and Commissioning Activities.

This role requires strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills to ensure project success and compliance with all standards.

About you:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Contractor and Company Project team, comprising commissioning coordinators, commissioning engineers, operations and maintenance specialists.
  • Participate in the key design reviews such as P&ID, Equipment Layout, and HAZOP to ensure that the pre-commissioning and commissioning requirements are incorporated into the design of the facilities.
  • Provide expertise and oversight on all construction through start-up and commissioning.
  • Responsible for project field start-up and commissioning operations.
  • Lead the commissioning and provide guidance and arrange for training of staff.
  • Ensure structured and timely system handover from construction and commissioning teams to operations or the client, in alignment with project milestones and contractual requirements.
  • Establish and execute a robust turnover management plan, including Mechanical Completion (MC), Ready for Commissioning (RFC), and Ready for Start-Up (RFSU) protocols.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across engineering, QA/QC, commissioning, and operations teams to drive punch list closure and system readiness.
  • Manage the preparation and delivery of complete handover documentation, including as-built drawings, test results, and certifications, ensuring compliance with client standards.
  • Utilize completions management systems (e.g., ICAPS, WinPCS) to monitor progress, track deliverables, and generate turnover reports
