The Engineering & Maintenance Directorate manages a $1.5 billion annual maintenance program on behalf of Sydney Trains and NSW Trains – delivering a safe, reliable passenger fleet and metropolitan rail network, to meet growing customer demand and keep Sydney moving.
The primary purpose of Major Works is to keep Sydney moving by undertaking extensive asset renewal projects for Sydney Trains as part of the TfNSW cluster.
