Role Summary

The Commission and Fees Administration Specialist is a member of the day-to-day Operations team.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Independently work with Investment Bankers and Traders for daily adding, changing, and deleting of commissions and fees with the ability to analyze the changes and adjust the accounts accordingly.
  • Own daily posting of commission and fee adjustments.
  • Ensure membership setups are appropriately kept up in the Fees Direct System.
  • Collaborate with New Accounts department daily to set up new client commission and fee rates in the Fees Direct System.
  • Investigate issues by following trades from beginning to end to find where the discrepancy lies.
  • Work with Balancing department on commission and fee charges for transfers.
  • Read and understand fees schedules from the US and various foreign exchanges.
  • Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.
  • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.

  • To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role, or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility
  • To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required
  • To escalate risk events immediately
  • To provide input to risk management processes, as required.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of exposure to the commodities industry required
  • An associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (with proficient use of Microsoft Excel)
  • Demonstrated ability to learn in-house computer system XTP and Fees Direct along with various vendor software, EFS, and FIA DOCS
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this
