Lightcast is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Commission Analyst to support the systems and data behind our monthly, quarterly, and annual incentive plans. This entry-level opportunity is for someone who enjoys working through details, asking questions, and ensuring the numbers are accurate.

You’ll partner closely with Accounting and Payroll to keep incentive processes reliable, well-documented, and on schedule. Direct experience is not required. We’re looking for someone with a strong foundation in finance, accounting, business analysis, or a related field, along with curiosity, sound judgment, and a growth mindset. The right person will take pride in tracing numbers back to their source, spotting inconsistencies, and improving how work gets done.

Major Responsibilities

  • Maintain the systems, data, and documentation used to administer monthly, quarterly, and annual incentive plans
  • Collect and validate employee, performance, and payout data, investigating discrepancies and following issues through to resolution
  • Support incentive calculations and prepare accurate, well-organized outputs for review and approval
  • Partner with Accounting on incentive-related accounts, including reconciliations, accrual support, account coding, and responding to questions about plan results
  • Coordinate with Payroll to prepare and submit approved incentive payments accurately and by established deadlines
  • Maintain clear records of plan inputs, calculations, approvals, adjustments, and submissions
  • Help identify ways to make incentive processes more accurate, consistent, and efficient
  • Respond to questions from internal partners and explain data or calculations clearly
  • Handle sensitive compensation information with discretion and care

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Strong academic, project, internship, or work background in finance, accounting, data analysis, or business analysis. Professional experience is not required
  • Strong attention to detail and a habit of checking work for accuracy and completeness
  • Comfort working with numbers, spreadsheets, and structured data; experience with Excel or Google Sheets is helpful
  • Ability to investigate a data issue, ask focused questions, and explain what you found
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Good organization and follow-through, especially when managing recurring deadlines
  • Interest in learning financial systems, incentive processes, and tools used to manage employee and payroll data
