Summary

  • Manage the commissary operations efficiently and accurately within the guidelines established by the agency.
  • Supervise daily reporting and accuracy of all commissary supplies, budgeting, ordering, & receiving.
  • Conduct and document inventory.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels and accurate records.
  • Supervise employee/inmate workers: screen, select, train and evaluate assigned personnel.
  • Provide rehabilitation and self- improvement opportunities for inmates.
  • Manage laundry operations.
  • Accurately account for laundry turn-in and turn-back.
  • Determine serviceability of clothing and eligibility of exchange.
  • Maintain detailed chemical records.
  • Maintain operation/equipment that is safe and healthy as required by OSHA standards.
  • Ensure appropriate maintenance is performed.
  • Administrative functions as assigned/required.
  • Travel required schedule subject to change.

Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
