🔎 About the Role
As a Commis III, you will support the kitchen team in preparing high-quality food while maintaining excellent standards of hygiene, safety, and service. You will assist with food preparation, keep work areas organized, and contribute to smooth daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced 5-star resort environment.
🌟 What You’ll Do
Assist chefs and kitchen team members with daily food preparation and basic cooking tasks.
Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meats, seafood, sauces, and garnishes according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen equipment, storage areas, and service areas.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards at all times.
Support buffet, restaurant, banquet, and other food production operations as assigned.
Store food items correctly and monitor product quality, freshness, and labeling.
Assist with receiving, checking, and organizing kitchen supplies and deliveries.
Use kitchen tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
Minimize food waste and follow portion control and cost-control procedures.
Work cooperatively with colleagues across the kitchen and Food & Beverage Department.
Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
✔️ What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, catering, or commercial kitchen is preferred.
Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen hygiene.
Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food safety procedures accurately.
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong teamwork skills.
Good time management and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and safely handle kitchen equipment and supplies.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules based on business needs.
Basic English communication skills are an advantage.
