Job Description

Villa San Michele, a Belmond hotel nestled in the Fiesole hills, overlooking Florence, is seeking a Commis de Rang to join its team. In this role, you will be a key player in delivering extraordinary luxury dining experiences that reflects the unparalleled charm and sophistication of our luxury property.
Key responsibilities include:

Assisting the Chef de Rang in table setup, ensuring all cutlery, glassware, and crockery are impeccably presented Serving water, bread, and other accompaniments to guests promptly and attentively Delivering dishes from the kitchen to the dining room, ensuring proper presentation and temperature Clearing plates, glasses, and cutlery from tables during meal service, keeping the dining area clean and organized Restocking service stations with necessary supplies, such as clean linen, crockery, and condiments Assisting in the efficient re-setting of tables for new guests and according to standards Polishing cutlery and glasses to ensure an impeccable appearance Learning and understanding menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to effectively support the Chef de Rang Responding to basic guest requests and referring more complex inquiries to the Chef de Rang Collaborating as a team member with all front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure impeccable service
