Commis Chef – The SpitJack, Cork

Location: The SpitJack Rotisserie Brasserie, 34 Washington Street, Cork

Job Type: Flexible (Part-Time & Full-Time Available)

Start Date: Immediate or Flexible Start

Experience: 3 years experience

Located in the heart of Cork City on Washington Street, we're proud to be the go-to spot for everything from brunch dates to celebrations.

We're now hiring chefs of all grades to join our kitchen team — whether you're starting out or already experienced, we have a role to match your skill level.

Wages:

From €14.50/hour, depending on experience and grade

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and cooking dishes to SpitJack standards
• Working across sections of the kitchen as required by grade and experience
• Ensuring consistent quality, presentation, and portion control
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment
• Following food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures at all times
• Managing stock rotation and storage where applicable
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members (for senior grades)
• Contributing to a positive, team-focused kitchen culture
