Commis Chef – Full-Time - Already in Malta

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our client's team. This is a full-time, permanent position, with an expected start date in approximately one month

Please note: As the position starts within a month, applicants must already be based in Malta Preference will be given to EU nationals or candidates with the legal right to work in Malta, as no relocation or overseas recruitment is being considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the kitchen team with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients.
• Support both the breakfast operation and the rooftop kitchen on a full-time basis.
• Follow established recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency and quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with stock control and the proper storage of ingredients.
• Work closely with senior chefs and contribute to the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen is preferred.
• Culinary training is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to delivering high-quality food.
