On behalf of our client, we are seeking a motivated Commis Chef to support the culinary team in food preparation, kitchen organization, and daily operations while ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety.
Job Summary
The Commis Chef assists senior chefs with ingredient preparation, cooking, plating, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop their culinary skills while contributing to efficient kitchen operations and delivering high-quality food.
Responsibilities
1- Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking menu items.
2- Follow recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines.
3- Maintain cleanliness of workstations and kitchen equipment.
4- Store food properly and monitor stock rotation.
5- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
6- Support senior chefs during food preparation and service.
7- Assist with inventory and stock replenishment.
8- Ensure kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained.
9- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to achieve daily operational goals.
10- Perform other duties assigned by supervisors as needed.
