Job Description

– Commis Chef

As a Commis Chef, you will support the kitchen team in delivering high-quality food and efficient service. This entry-level role is ideal for an enthusiastic and motivated individual looking to develop their culinary skills while maintaining excellent standards of food quality, cleanliness, and teamwork in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and service of dishes across all kitchen sections
Carry out basic cooking tasks under the guidance of senior chefs
Ensure mise en place is completed accurately and on time
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations and kitchen areas
Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards at all times
Assist with proper food storage, labelling, and stock rotation (FIFO)
Support senior chefs during busy service periods
Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop culinary skills

Qualifications:

Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety for Catering Certificate
Food Allergy and Intolerance Training Certificate
