Vitelli’s Upstairs in Surry Hills is a small, tight-knit kitchen focused on doing simple Italian food really well. No overcomplication, no egos — just good cooking, consistency, and a team that backs each other.

We’re looking for a chef somewhere between Commis and CDP — someone with solid foundations who’s ready to step up or continue building confidence in a quality kitchen.

The Role

• Nights only — no doubles, no early starts
• Sundays and Mondays off every week
• Small team, strong culture, great energy
• Fast-paced but well-structured service, cooking quality Italian food

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting prep and service across sections
• Cooking and plating with care and consistency
• Maintaining a clean, organised station
• Working closely with a small team during busy services
• Contributing to service — not just following

What We’re Looking For

• Experience at Commis to early CDP level
• Genuine passion for food and improving your craft
• Ability to stay composed under pressure
• Strong team mindset — reliable and accountable
• Good standards across prep, cleanliness, and service
