He whakamārama mo te tūranga mahi | About the role:

This is a fast-paced and varied role with plenty of opportunities to be proactive and make a real difference to our commercial vehicle customers, ensuring they have a seamless and easy check-in.

A key part of your role will be to process and record documentation accurately and complete check-in processes.

Key tasks include:

  • Ensuring boarding passes, meal vouchers, weight dockets and GST receipts are in order and supplied to customer
  • Visually confirming lashing points and livestock units are compliant
  • Maintaining clear, concise and professional radio communications as required
  • Managing standby bookings and working with the Disruption Team
  • Ensuring all commercial vehicle accounts and transactions are charged and reconciled
  • Preparing notifications, post sailing reporting and feedback
  • Maintaining and updating the database

This is a full time, 24-hour rostered shift work role, and the successful applicant will be required to regularly work weekends. Ideally, you will have access to private transport as public transport is not always available early mornings and late nights.

We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude who will take pride in their work.

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Have previous experience working in a customer focused industry
  • Have experience with basic invoicing, databases and MS Office packages
  • Be able to think on your feet under pressure
  • Be detail oriented with the ability to work with speed and accuracy
  • Have exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
