Role and Responsibilities

Your Journey

As a Commercial Trainee, you’ll join one of our core business units for a three-year journey designed to prepare you for a future role in sales leadership.

In your first year, you’ll focus on product marketing, working on go-to-market strategies, market analysis, and commercial planning. From your second year till the end of your traineeship, you’ll transition into sales, managing key accounts and contributing directly to business growth.

This traineeship stands out for its structured, cross-functional path, giving you end-to-end commercial exposure while building the skills and mindset of a strategic Account Manager. Rather than specializing too early, you’ll gain a broad foundation across both marketing and sales.

Throughout the program, you’ll receive ongoing training, mentorship, and real responsibility from the start. By the end, you’ll be ready to take on a high-impact role in our sales divisions, equipped with both strategic insight and customer focus.

As one of our Commercial Trainee you have strong communication skills and know how to convince others with your dedication, assertiveness and openness. You actively involve others in projects and tasks with your enthusiasm. Thereby, you enjoy working with colleagues and having meetings with external stakeholders. You’re eager to build a network that you will keep up to date and you are actively focused on your personal development. You’re aware of your own talents, pitfalls and challenges. You’re eager to grow as professional and as a person. Overall, you are willing to be part of an international organization that is continuously evolving.

We also request:

• Knowledge and experience – you have a master degree in economics or social sciences (e.g., Data Analytics, Business Information Management, Marketing Management, Innovation Management, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Commercial Science, Communication Management, …). Graduates with another degree, but with the right experience and mindset also qualify!
• Critical and analytical skills – you can execute with excellence on the most important things. You’re able to identify new opportunities and overcome barriers.
• Language – you’re a good communicator in Dutch and English. This enables you to easily collaborate with colleagues, partners and stakeholders.
