Commercial Systems Lead

Compensation: $130,000 - $160,000 / year


The Commercial Systems Lead conducts the development, implementation, and management of commercial systems within an organization. Oversees system integration, ensures alignment with business objectives, coordinates with cross-functional teams, and drives improvements to optimize commercial operations and performance.

How You Will Help

  • Drive end-to-end optimization of sales systems and processes by partnering with Sales Operations to identify, prioritize, and implement enhancements that improve sales effectiveness, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
  • Lead the architecture, delivery, and integration of enterprise solutions (CRM, CPQ, ERP, etc.) by translating complex business requirements into scalable system designs, defining strategic roadmaps, and ensuring high-quality implementation through rigorous end-to-end testing and governance.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for business stakeholders, driving alignment between technology initiatives and business strategy through proactive engagement, clear communication, and issue resolution.
  • Lead and coordinate strategic vendor relationships and complex integrations (e.g., MS Dynamics, Salesforce, CPQ, EDI, Esker), owning problem resolution across internal teams and external partners to ensure high-quality, uninterrupted delivery.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across sales and customer service systems, applying Lean / Kaizen principles and deep process expertise to identify enhancements and optimize solutions. Ensure system integrity and reliability by leading complex issue resolution, maintaining clear system documentation, and overseeing system implementations and data migrations to minimize risk and disruption.
  • Responsibilities include tactical (issue resolution), operational (solution enhancements) and strategic (new technology) activities.

What You Will Bring

  • 5 years progressive IT systems analysis experience, with 3+ years dedicated to Sales/Customer Service functions and ERP supporting sales functionality.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Information Systems, Computer Science or Business Administration
  • Experience with hybrid outside sales models, commercial transformation efforts, customer experience & engagement, sales strategy, etc. Extensive hands-on experience with CRM (e.g., Salesforce, MS Dynamics) and CPQ (e.g.,PROS, Oracle, PriceFx, Salesforce) platforms and strategic integration.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to diagnose complex issues and implement robust solutions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading the entire business application lifecycle (requirements, design, testing, deployment)
  • Strong business acumen, translating technical concepts into business value and aligning IT solutions with strategic objectives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, aligning diverse groups and driving consensus.
  • Proven ability to translate business objectives into technical requirements and oversee IT solution development/implementation.
  • Exceptional coordination and program management skills for complex, cross-departmental projects.


Preferred

  • Experience with M&A activities, particularly in system integration and data migration.
  • In-depth understanding of Lean/Kaizen principles and methodologies, with demonstrated experience leading or contributing to Kaizen events for sales/customer service improvements.
  • Experience collaborating with executive leadership on strategic initiatives like organizational change and sales process re-engineering.
  • Proven experience implementing, managing and leading an EDI / VMI program.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually*.
