Job Description


We are seeking a highly experienced Commercial Superintendent with a proven track record in managing K-12 educational facility projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in overseeing large-scale commercial construction projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality results while adhering to safety standards and project timelines. This role is perfect for a driven individual with strong leadership and communication skills who is ready to lead educational construction projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily on-site construction operations for K-12 school projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Manage subcontractors, trades, and site personnel to maintain project efficiency and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
  • Coordinate and communicate with project managers, architects, engineers, and school district representatives.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the work aligns with plans, specifications, and quality expectations.
  • Maintain project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and safety records.
  • Lead project meetings, providing updates on scheduling, progress, and any potential challenges.
  • Resolve on-site issues and work proactively to avoid delays.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment and maintain strong relationships with all project stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a superintendent on commercial construction projects, with a focus on K-12 educational facilities.
  • Deep knowledge of commercial construction practices, methods, and regulations.
  • Experience managing large, multi-phase school construction and renovation projects.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
  • Proficiency in construction software and project management tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project).
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
