Business Development Manager

Envo Talent is partnering closely with a growing renewable energy business delivering solar PV and low carbon solutions across the UK. With a strong pipeline of commercial and industrial projects, the business is investing in its sales capability to support structured growth rather than reactive expansion.

This role exists to strengthen client acquisition across the commercial sector, building long-term relationships with property owners, asset managers and business operators seeking to reduce energy costs and carbon exposure.

Reporting into the senior leadership team, the Business Development Manager will take ownership of identifying, qualifying and converting new commercial opportunities. You will work closely with technical, estimating and delivery teams to ensure proposals are commercially robust and technically viable.

This is a client-facing role focused on consultative selling, pipeline management and revenue generation within the renewable energy market.

Responsibilities and duties

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the commercial and industrial energy market

• Build and maintain relationships with decision makers across property, manufacturing, retail and logistics sectors

• Lead client meetings, site visits and technical discussions in collaboration with engineering teams

• Prepare and present proposals, financial models and commercial offers

• Manage the full sales lifecycle from initial contact through to contract signature

• Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and forecasting

• Monitor market trends, policy changes and funding mechanisms impacting renewable projects

• Support marketing initiatives and industry networking activities

Professional qualifications and experience

• Proven experience in business development within solar PV or wider renewable energy markets

• Strong understanding of commercial solar, battery storage or energy efficiency solutions

• Experience selling into commercial or industrial clients

• Ability to interpret technical proposals and financial models

• Full UK driving licence

• Comfortable working with long sales cycles and multi-stakeholder decision processes
