Commercial Relationship Manager (C&I Focus)

Austin, TX & San Antonio, TX

A growing and well-capitalized Texas-based bank is seeking experienced Commercial Relationship Managers to support continued expansion across Central Texas, with an immediate need in San Antonio and additional growth in Austin

The Commercial Relationship Manager will be responsible for originating, structuring, and managing commercial banking relationships, with a focus on C&I clients while maintaining a balanced exposure to real estate.

This role is ideal for a banker who thrives in a relationship-driven, fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in building a growing market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow a portfolio of commercial clients through self-sourced business
  • Structure and close C&I and select CRE transactions
  • Build and maintain strong referral networks (CPAs, attorneys, and other COIs)
  • Manage full client relationships, ensuring a high-touch, service-oriented experience
  • Partner closely with credit and underwriting teams while maintaining ownership of deal flow
  • Contribute to both loan growth and deposit generation

Target Client Profile

  • Privately held companies with $5MM – $150MM in annual revenue
  • Emphasis on relationship-based banking vs. transactional lending

Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years of commercial banking experience
  • Proven production in both loans and deposits
  • Strong focus on C&I lending (not purely CRE)
  • Solid credit acumen and experience structuring deals
  • Demonstrated ability to source and build client relationships
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset
