
Commercial Relationship Manager (I, II, or III)

A growing regional bank is seeking an experienced Commercial Relationship Manager to help expand its presence in the Lexington market. This is a unique opportunity to join an organization that is actively investing in Kentucky and provides the autonomy, credit support, and long-term commitment necessary to build a successful commercial banking practice.
The bank recently established its Lexington office and is focused on growing relationships with commercial operating companies while continuing to serve the area's commercial real estate market. Leadership is committed to a patient, relationship-driven approach and offers bankers the flexibility to develop their portfolios without unrealistic short-term production pressure.
The Commercial Relationship Manager will be responsible for developing new business relationships, managing an existing portfolio, and delivering commercial banking solutions to middle-market and small business clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong business development skills, sound credit knowledge, and established relationships within the Lexington business community.
This opportunity is available at multiple levels (CRM I, II, or III) based on experience, production history, and market presence.
Responsibilities
Develop and expand commercial banking relationships with privately held businesses and professional organizations
Generate new loan and deposit opportunities through active business development efforts
Structure and manage commercial credit relationships, including C&I and owner-occupied real estate transactions
Collaborate with credit, treasury management, and banking partners to deliver comprehensive client solutions
Analyze financial statements, cash flow, and credit requests
Manage portfolio performance, risk monitoring, and ongoing client service
Represent the bank within the local business community and professional organizations
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of commercial banking experience preferred
Proven success developing commercial banking relationships and generating new business
Strong credit underwriting and portfolio management capabilities
Experience with commercial and industrial (C&I) lending
Commercial real estate (CRE) experience is welcomed, though candidates with demonstrated C&I production are highly preferred
Established network within the Lexington market
Experience working with regional, super-regional, or large community banking organizations
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary approximately $85,000 to $190,000+ depending on experience, production history, and level
Performance-based incentive plan tied to production and relationship growth
Additional fee income participation with uncapped earning potential
401(k) program
