Job Description

Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP seeks a talented paralegal to join our strong team of Charleston, South Carolina commercial real estate and lending attorneys and paralegals. The position requires an understanding of and experience with commercial real estate transactions in South Carolina, as well as excellent technical and organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a team setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Order and review title examinations and survey documents;
• Prepare title insurance commitments, endorsements, and policies;
• Disburse closing funds;
• Review and prepare initial draft closing documents for real estate transactions;
• Pre-closing and closing management of real estate acquisition, sales, and loans;
• Coordination with national title insurance companies.

REQUIREMENTS

• Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred;
• Prior commercial real estate experience in law firm environment;
• Experience with title insurance, including the use of software and preparation of title commitments;
• Excellent writing and interpersonal communications skills;
• Strong project management skills with attention to detail and deadlines;
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize project requirements;
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a client focus;
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and title insurance specific software (TitleExpress, SoftPro, Qualia, etc.).
