Vice President – Investor Real Estate & Construction Lending

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Department: Commercial Real Estate Lending
Reports to: Head of Commercial Real Estate

The SVP/VP – Investor Real Estate & Construction Lending will be responsible for originating, structuring, and managing a portfolio of commercial real estate loans ranging from $5 million to $60 million This role focuses on construction, bridge, and permanent financing for investors, developers, and institutional clients across multifamily, industrial, office, retail, and mixed-use properties in the Phoenix metro area and surrounding markets

Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate & Structure Loans – Develop new business opportunities by originating construction, bridge, and permanent real estate loans for investor-owned properties.

  • Portfolio & Risk Management – Manage and monitor an existing portfolio, ensuring compliance with bank policies and credit quality standards.

  • Market Development – Build and maintain relationships with real estate developers, private equity firms, family offices, and institutional investors

  • Credit & Underwriting Collaboration – Work closely with credit and underwriting teams to structure deals that balance risk and return

  • Negotiation & Closing – Oversee the end-to-end loan process, from term sheet negotiation to closing

  • Industry Expertise – Stay informed on market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes impacting commercial real estate lending.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in commercial real estate lending, construction finance, or structured real estate debt.

  • Strong track record in originating and managing CRE loans ranging from $5MM to $60MM

  • Deep knowledge of construction, bridge, and permanent loan structures

  • Well-established network of investors, developers, and industry professionals in the Phoenix market.

  • Strong financial analysis and underwriting skills, with experience evaluating complex real estate transactions.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders (credit, legal, risk, and senior leadership).

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, or related field (MBA preferred).
