Commercial Property Management Lead, St James

We're looking for an exceptional 'Commercial Property Management Lead' to lead our St James Property Management team and drive operational excellence across this prestigious mixed-use estate. This is a highly visible leadership role where you'll be responsible for translating strategic objectives into operational performance, ensuring our assets continue to deliver outstanding commercial, customer, sustainability and safety outcomes.

Working closely with colleagues across Asset Management, Facilities Management, Finance, Development and Leasing, you'll help shape the future of property management within The Crown Estate while leading a talented team responsible for one of London's most iconic destinations.

What you'll be doing

As Commercial Property Management Lead, you will:

  • Lead, develop and inspire the St James Property Management team, creating a high-performance and inclusive culture.
  • Drive collaboration across multiple business functions to ensure delivery of portfolio objectives and operational excellence.
  • Take accountability for portfolio governance, reporting, risk management and performance against key business metrics.
  • Oversee service charge management, financial performance and opportunities to enhance net operating income.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement across internal teams, occupiers, consultants and external partners.
  • Ensure seamless mobilisation of developments, projects and leasing activity into operational management.
  • Champion health, safety and compliance, maintaining the highest standards across the estate.
  • Embed sustainability and decarbonisation objectives into operational decision-making and asset performance.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through data-led insight, service improvement initiatives and effective issue resolution.
  • Support the continued evolution of Property Management through innovation, process improvement and digital advancement.

About you

We're looking for a commercially minded property professional with substantial experience managing complex, high-profile mixed-use portfolios.

You'll bring:

  • MRICS qualification with significant post-qualification experience, or equivalent industry expertise.
  • Strong leadership experience with a proven ability to coach, develop and motivate teams.
  • Extensive property management experience across multi-let commercial or mixed-use environments.
  • Strong landlord and tenant knowledge with excellent commercial judgement.
  • Experience managing service charge budgets and driving operational efficiencies.
  • A customer-focused mindset and passion for delivering best-in-class property management.
  • Experience working across complex stakeholder environments and influencing senior decision-makers.
  • Knowledge of health and safety, risk management and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability objectives and their practical application within operational property management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
