Commercial Property Legal Assistant

Full Time

A well-established and friendly high street law firm in Winchester is on the lookout for a detail-loving, form-filling, deadline-dodging (in a good way) Legal Assistant to support their Commercial Property team.

About the Role:

You'll be an essential cog in a busy Commercial Property department, supporting fee earners from the moment a file is opened right through to its glorious post-completion close. You'll be trusted with:

• Handling transactions from freehold and leasehold sales to new leases, lease renewals, and deeds with more clauses than your average Dickens novel
• SDLT returns, Companies House filings, and Land Registry applications if it needs submitting, you'll probably be submitting it
• Keeping things organised, calm, and ticking over nicely while everyone else wonders how you do it
• Providing timely, polite and helpful responses to clients, even when they send you emails titled URGENT!!! at 4:59pm

You'll need to bring:

• Prior experience in a similar Commercial Property legal support role
• A good working knowledge of all things Commercial Property (bonus points if you've mastered SDLT without shouting at the screen)
• Top-tier attention to detail and excellent written/spoken communication skills
• Comfort using case management systems, Excel, Outlook and all those other useful tools that make the legal world go round
• An adaptable, team-focused approach and enough initiative to crack on solo when needed
• A willingness to roll up your sleeves and help your team stay ahead of deadlines without losing your sense of humour

Working Pattern:

• Full-time, permanent (Monday Friday, 37.5 hours/week)
• Strictly no weekends unless you really miss the office
