As a Commercial Project Manager, you will support the successful commercial execution of Mobility projects throughout their lifecycle. You will work closely with Project Managers, Finance, Procurement, Legal, and Operational teams to ensure financial transparency, contract compliance, risk management, and accurate project controlling.

This role combines commercial project management responsibilities with operational and administrative support, contributing to the achievement of project financial targets and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Project Management

  • Support the commercial execution of projects in accordance with Siemens Mobility policies and procedures.
  • Monitor project financial performance, including revenue, costs, cash flow, profitability, and forecast accuracy.
  • Assist in project budgeting, planning, reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Prepare and review monthly project financial reports and KPIs.
  • Support project closing activities, ensuring accurate financial reconciliation and documentation.
  • Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and commercial terms.
  • Identify, assess, and escalate commercial risks and opportunities.

Financial Controlling & Reporting

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
  • Prepare project forecasts and variance analysis.
  • Maintain project financial records and documentation.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Ensure data accuracy within SAP and other financial systems.
  • Support invoicing processes and accounts receivable follow-up.

Contract & Administrative Support

  • Assist in contract administration and document management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in the identification, documentation, preparation, and follow-up of customer and supplier claims.
  • Support contracts change management processes, including variations, amendments, and addenda.
  • Monitor claim-related deadlines, contractual notification periods, and escalation requirements.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Commercial Project Managers, Legal, and Contract Management teams to ensure effective claim and dispute management.
  • Support the preparation of commercial assessments related to claims, change orders, compensation events, and extensions of time.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Commercial Project Managers, Procurement, Legal, Tax, Accounting, and Business Administration teams.
  • Support communication with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding commercial matters.
  • Participate in project review meetings and provide financial insights.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Master's degree represents an advantage.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in project controlling, finance, commercial project management, business administration, or a similar role.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of financial analysis and controlling principles.
  • SAP experience (SAP FI/CO, MM, SD etc.) is preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach.
  • High level of integrity and compliance awareness.

Languages

  • Fluent Romanian and English (written and spoken).
  • Additional European languages are considered an advantage.
