An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated commercial project professional to apply their strong commercial project delivery knowledge and Contract Management experience while also taking on responsibility in supporting the preparation and compilation of large tenders in Singapore from a commercial perspective. The Commercial Project Manager – Project Execution and Bid Preparation to join our Yunex Team will be based in Singapore. The primary responsibility will be to commercially lead and execute projects in Singapore and providing support to the adjacent countries in South-east Asia, where necessary. Furthermore, the successful candidate will support the local Managing Director Finance in cost controlling, forecasting and budgeting activities including the compilation of contract claims and supporting documentation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Support major projects according to internal financial guidelines and external regulations, ensuring the compliance and accuracy for responsible project books on all commercial aspects.
  • Support the Project Manager in managing financial results, targets, project gross profit and cash flow using assets and financing instruments.
  • Provide contract management throughout the project delivery phase, including identifying, evaluating and assessing the associated risks and opportunities.
  • Drive positive claim management on the project, including alignment on claim strategies with the Project Manager and compilation of claim supporting documentation.
  • Actively communicating with customer's and subcontractors’ commercial representatives while managing the resolution of commercial issues.
  • Support the commercial aspects of bids and tenders in Singapore and other South-east Asian countries.
  • Facilitate month end clearing as well as the forecast and budget process for the business including cost center controlling, budgeting, business case modelling and strategic considerations of future business opportunities.
  • Interact, cooperate and collaborate with a diverse and multi-cultural project team and drive success across business units.

The successful candidate demonstrates following experience & skills:

  • Degree qualified in Business, Commerce, Accounting or Economics, with sound understanding of Project Management methodologies, preferably with experience in construction contracts and/or government projects.
  • A minimum of 3 years of commercial project execution experience.
  • Experience in a project-based organisation is essential for this role, as well as capabilities in project accounting.
  • Experience in Contract Management and commercial tendering activities.
  • Experience in basic cost controlling and accounting including month end clearing, forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Certification in any accredited project management framework or commercial project certification can be considered for senior position.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to build sound working relationships paired with your experience in executing contracts.
  • Strong SAP and Excel skills are mandatory, further knowledge of Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI will be of advantage.
