Job Description

The Role:

Vortexa is looking for a Product Specialist in our fast growing commercial team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to combine product and energy market knowledge to work closely with our clients, partners and prospects, helping them maximise the value from using Vortexa’s information & analytics platform. You will also play a key role in shaping the evolution of our product roadmap based on your direct insights and experience from all your market interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deep understanding of Vortexa’s information & analytics platform as well as an overall understanding of our methodologies, data & modelling processes and flows
  • Conduct impressive product demos to clients, partners and prospects and confidently articulate Vortexa’s value proposition.
  • Drive engagement of users during demonstrations, product trials and on-boarding processes
  • Support the expansion and growth of the region, through sales, marketing and recruitment
  • Work closely with the Commercial team in ongoing business development activities, including input to the commercial strategy and helping to build customer networks
  • Support upselling by encouraging client usage of the Vortexa SDK/API & other additional services and facilitating integration of Vortexa solutions within client workflows
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, serving as a key advocate of clients inside Vortexa
  • Contribute to product roadmap in prioritisation and improvement initiatives and articulate client feedback to Vortexa product development teams and lead internal and external training as well as development of in-house market knowledge
  • Help raise the brand awareness and profile of Vortexa in the region
  • Build and maintain industry networks in the region
  • Attend and present at industry and in-house events

Requirements

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a market analysis, trading, broking, consulting or customer facing role related to the oil & gas or shipping markets
  • Knowledge of software applications including those with SDK/API interface
  • Broad understanding of market fundamentals, contracts/pricing structures and trading strategies
  • Customer-success orientation: Presenting to and fulfilling requests from demanding clients on deadline
  • Highly proficient and confident in face to face communications
  • Experienced in producing written materials and presentations
  • Results-orientated focus, with the ability to efficiently prioritise multiple objectives
