Commercial Product Manager (18 months)

About the role

As Commercial Product Manager, you will manage and strengthen AAK Personal Care’s portfolio of plant-based specialty cosmetic ingredients, ensuring its commercial performance, profitability, and relevance to market and customer needs.

Alongside portfolio management, you will act as Technical Sales Manager for a major global distributor, taking responsibility for strategic account management and development in close collaboration with internal technical teams and the external partner.

This is an 18-month maternity leave cover starting in December 2026.

You will be part of the Global Business Development & Marketing team, reporting to the Global Business Development & Marketing Director. The position is based at AAK’s headquarters in Malmö, Sweden.

Responsibilities

• Manage and strengthen the existing cosmetic ingredients portfolio, ensuring commercial performance and profitability
• Develop the portfolio in line with market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
• Strengthen product positioning through claims substantiation, sustainability improvements, communication, and price optimization.
• Act as Technical Sales Manager for a major global distributor with global exclusivity.
• Drive strategic account management and development in close collaboration with internal technical teams and the external partner.
• Work cross-functionally with product development, supply chain, sales, marketing, and other stakeholders.
• Manage projects and coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective execution

About you

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, ideally with a specialization in cosmetics; additional business studies are an advantage.
• 5–10 years of international B2B experience, preferably within cosmetic ingredients or another relevant specialty industry.
• Experience across product development, supply chain, sales, or marketing, combined with project management experience.
• Strong technical understanding combined with good commercial acumen.
• Analytical, structured, proactive, and focused on getting things done.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions, cultures, and external partnerships.
• Fluent in English.
• Project management education or certification is a plus..
