Looking for a challenge in one of the world’s largest airfreight logistics organisations?

At IAG Cargo we are in the business of moving things. From antibiotics to rhinoceros, gold bullion to avocados and everything in between. Whatever people need, wherever they are. At IAG Cargo, we believe in keeping the world’s economies turning, and do everything with determined attitudes, curious minds, collaborative actions and heartfelt pride. Join us at our globally recognised logistics business, where we are building a great place to work for customers and colleagues alike.

About the role

The Commercial Platform Lead – Global Joint Business & Commercial Platforms is accountable for the end‑to‑end performance and evolution of IAG Cargo’s commercial platforms (booking, selling, distribution, availability) and for shaping and executing the digital product strategy that powers our trilateral cargo Joint Business.

You will own the platform vision and roadmap, translate Joint Business priorities into technology outcomes, and ensure day‑to‑day reliability, adoption and value realisation across IAG Cargo and partner carriers. • Represent IAG Cargo in Joint Business governance, aligning digital initiatives and delivery across carriers and vendors, resolving issues, and managing changing requirements.

Commercial platform ownership & performance

  • Lead the day‑to‑day operational cadence for Booking & Selling, ensuring incident management, escalation handling and SLA adherence across platforms and partners.

  • Maintain and govern core distribution rule sets, including routing logic, connection parameters, scope rules, availability behaviour and commercial guardrails, to optimise conversion and yield.

  • Own performance reporting (booking success rates, right‑first‑time confirmations, manual touch indicators, defect reduction) and drive continuous improvement with clear SOPs.

Change, delivery & adoption

  • Lead cross‑functional delivery and change with directorates, partners and vendors to ensure new capabilities are adopted, supported and embedded into daily Joint Business and IAG Cargo operations.

  • Manage phased feature delivery, balancing short‑term value realisation with the broader platform roadmap.

Partner, vendor & stakeholder leadership

  • Engage senior stakeholders across IAG Cargo and Joint Business partners to align strategy, resolve trade‑offs and maintain delivery momentum.

  • Oversee key vendor relationships, including selection, integration and performance management against evolving partnership needs.

Commercial impact & innovation

  • Support Revenue Management & Pricing in deploying commercial guardrails, enhancing pricing/availability behaviours, and testing revenue‑impacting changes safely.

  • Identify and develop innovation opportunities, from new industry standards to emerging technologies that advance our core business and Joint Business partnership.

It's all about you

What you’ll bring to IAG Cargo:

  • Proven ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders across multiple organisations and cultures.

About IAG Cargo

Five airlines. One Cargo Carrier. We are in the business of moving things. From antibiotics to rhinoceros, gold bullion to avocados. Whatever people need, wherever they are. In an era of digital screens and closed borders, we open the skies and fly the world to bring people the things they really need.

We began in 2011, when our founding legacy brands British Airways and Iberia joined to form one of the world’s biggest cargo networks. Soon after, Aer Lingus, Vueling and LEVEL joined IAG, extending our reach even further, providing 500 aircraft, 15,000 flights a week to over 350 destinations. We recognise that our heritage airlines have shaped us – they are the foundation of our future. We took that framework and now have more than nine Partner Plus carriers across the globe, helping to grow IAG Cargo into one of the world’s leading air cargo companies.

Whether you want to move an engine or a bearded dragon, from Delhi to Dubai or New York to Nice, we are here, 365 days a year to get that done.

We move 24/7, 365 days, 525,600 minutes a year. The freshest fruit, cutting edge tech, endangered species, lifesaving drugs, and everything in-between. We keep trade, society and jobs moving. And we don’t stop. Because if we do, it impacts people. And that’s just the start…

We believe in online booking 24/7. Loyalty schemes that reward. An operation that works, learns and improves. Built on the latest technology and infrastructure, and served by the newest aircrafts.

We are changing how logistics works. Challenging the status quo, and bringing innovation and investment for our customers.
