About the role

Join BT's Networks In-Life Partner Management team and play a key role in ensuring we get the very best value from some of our most strategic supplier relationships.

As a Partnerships Specialist, you'll work at the intersection of commercial management, supplier performance, data-led decision making and strategic partnership development. You'll help shape how BT manages major external partners, driving improvements, reducing commercial leakage and ensuring suppliers deliver the outcomes our customers and business depend upon.

This is an opportunity to work on high-profile commercial relationships, influence senior stakeholders and contribute to the management of contracts and supplier partnerships that underpin critical network services across BT.

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving complex business challenges, turning data into actionable insight and building trusted relationships both internally and externally.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing a portfolio of strategic supplier relationships and acting as a trusted commercial partner throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Driving supplier performance through effective governance, performance management and continuous improvement activities.
  • Using commercial, operational and financial data to identify opportunities, risks and value-generating initiatives.
  • Producing insight and recommendations that support senior decision-making and influence commercial strategy.
  • Leading negotiations with suppliers to secure commercially beneficial outcomes for BT.
  • Working with stakeholders across Networks, Finance, Procurement, Legal and wider BT functions to drive alignment and maximise value from third-party partnerships.
  • Identifying opportunities for supplier consolidation, efficiency improvements and cost optimisation.
  • Supporting strategic change initiatives that improve supplier management, contract compliance and commercial performance.
  • Building strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners to create long-term, mutually beneficial outcomes.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Experience managing in-life commercial relationships with external suppliers, vendors or strategic partners, including supplier performance, contractual obligations and commercial value delivery.
  • Experience analysing large and complex commercial, operational and/or financial data sets to generate insight, recommendations and business decisions.
  • Experience leading or supporting B2B commercial negotiations with external suppliers or partners to achieve commercial outcomes.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience working within telecommunications, technology, infrastructure or another complex commercial environment.
  • Knowledge of supplier governance, contract lifecycle management or supplier performance management.
  • Experience identifying and delivering cost optimisation, value realisation or supplier improvement initiatives.
  • Experience presenting insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making.
  • Experience working across multiple business functions to deliver commercial or strategic outcomes.
  • Understanding of procurement, strategic sourcing, third-party management or commercial risk management.
