Intex Coating is seeking motivated Commercial Painters In this role, you will be responsible for surface preparation, coating applications, quality control, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working on commercial, industrial, hospitality, entertainment, or themed construction projects.

What You’ll Do:
Surface Preparation
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, filling, masking, and priming
- Protect surrounding areas and materials from overspray and paint damage
- Ensure surfaces meet project specifications prior to coating application
Painting & Coating Application
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, sealants, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
- Mix and match paint colors and finishes according to project requirements
- Apply coatings evenly while maintaining quality and productivity standards
- Perform touch-ups and final detailing as required
Quality Control
- Inspect completed work to ensure proper coverage, appearance, and adherence to specifications
- Identify and correct deficiencies before project completion
- Maintain company standards for craftsmanship and customer satisfaction
Equipment & Safety
- Safely operate and maintain painting equipment, including:
- Airless and conventional spray equipment
- Scaffolding
- Ladders
- Aerial lifts
- Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Team Collaboration
- Work effectively with supervisors, project managers, contractors, and fellow team members
- Assist in meeting project schedules and deadlines
- Communicate project challenges and solutions proactively
What You’ll Bring
Required
- Minimum 3–5 years of commercial or industrial painting experience
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation methods and coating applications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
- Knowledge of painting safety procedures and best practices
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work night shifts as required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the shift
Preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience with themed environments or specialty finishes
- Experience with:
- Epoxy coatings
- Intumescent coatings
- Electrostatic painting
- Lead-Safe Certification
- Aerial Lift Certification
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach for extended periods
- Ability to work at heights using ladders, scaffolds, and lifts
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
