The Commercial Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting sales and marketing activities by developing proposals, coordinating cross-functional inputs, and improving commercial processes to ensure high-quality, competitive bids.

This role requires strong attention to detail, communication, and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. The Commercial Operations Specialist will collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, Implementation, and Customers to support Mitsubishi Power’s Power Generation Services (PGS) business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop proposals and quotations for complex service projects and customer requirements.
• Coordinate input from internal teams including Sales, Engineering, and Implementation.
• Ensure timely delivery of accurate and competitive bids and proposals.• Assist with market research, sales forecasting, and opportunity tracking.
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders under tight deadlines.
• Support process improvement initiatives to streamline commercial operations.
• Prepare and maintain proposal templates, tools, and documentation.
• Assist with customer inquiries and ensure customer satisfaction through prompt follow-up.
• Support compliance with internal approval processes such as GOA approvals.
• Contribute to achieving departmental goals and metrics.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting commercial or sales operations, preferably in the energy, power generation, or manufacturing industry.

Skills:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented and proactive approach to problem solving.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.
Frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Occasionally required to stand and walk.Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
