Job Description

About the role:

We’re looking for a Commercial and Operations Analyst to join our team on an initial 6-month fixed term contract to play a key role in driving operational and commercial
performance.

This role sits at the intersection of Operations, Finance, and Data, with a strong focus on improving performance through meaningful, data-driven insights. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities, solve problems, and support better decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify operational inefficiencies through data analysis and highlight actionable improvement opportunities operational data to identify performance gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Work closely with Operations and Finance to ensure alignment between service performance and financial outcomes.
  • Build and maintain reporting frameworks,
    including KPIs, dashboards, and customer profitability views
  • Analyse regional performance using local
    geographic knowledge to optimise routes and service delivery
  • Support day-to-day problem-solving and
    continuous improvement initiatives across the networks
  • Deliver clear, practical insights to leadership
    to support decision-making
  • Improve data quality, streamline reporting
    processes, and drive automation where possible

About you:

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in an operational,
    service, or analytical environment, working with real-world data and business
    processes
  • Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain,
    Logistics, Data/Analytics, Commerce, or a related discipline
  • Strong Excel capability, including handling
    large datasets, building models, and producing structured reports
  • Practical experience with Power BI, including
    developing or maintaining dashboards to support operational decision-making
  • Exposure to geographic or spatial data, with
    the ability to apply location-based insights to improve routing and regional
    performance
  • Proven analytical capability, with the ability
    to interpret data, identify issues, and recommend practical solutions
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to
    operational teams and stakeholders who are not data-focused
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail,
    while maintaining awareness of overall business impact
