Material Solutions is a new business area within GKN that industrialises new manufacturing solutions, with the ambition of making the aerospace industry more sustainable.
By combining GKN’s existing expertise in design and manufacturing with groundbreaking additive manufacturing technology, we develop innovative solutions that require significantly less material than conventionally manufactured aero-engine components.
Using the same technological capabilities, we also design lighter and more functional products, with the aim of reducing aviation’s climate impact.
We are now looking for a commercially driven and relationship-focused Commercial Officer to support our Material Solutions US business. In this role, you will be responsible for commercial bid management, contract administration, customer negotiations, business development support, and funding opportunities. You will play a key role in helping us grow across aerospace, space, defence, and energy markets while strengthening our commercial capabilities and competitive position.
As Manager Commercial & Contracts, you will be the focal point for commercial activities related to Material Solutions US. You will oversee bids and contracts throughout their lifecycle, coordinate negotiations with customers and partners, and contribute to strategic business growth initiatives.

You are a confident communicator who enjoys building strong relationships with customers, partners, and colleagues. You combine commercial awareness with analytical thinking and are comfortable navigating both strategic and operational challenges. You are proactive, open-minded, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
