The energy transition is reshaping how the world generates power — and the commercial strategies behind it matter just as much as the technology itself. As a Commercial Manager (m/f/d) within GE Vernova's Steam Power business, you are able to explain Generator service products to our customers. You develop competitive, well-structured proposals for Generator and Steam Turbine service contracts, navigate commercial risk with confidence, and help ensure that every deal is built on sound foundations. Your work directly supports GE Vernova's mission to electrify and decarbonize the world's energy systems.

This is a role for someone who thrives on solving real commercial problems — who can move from reviewing technical specifications one hour to negotiating contract terms the next, and who brings the analytical rigor and customer focus to make both count.
This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. It is an individual contributor position and does not include team management responsibilities.

• Develop and submit competitive service proposals for rotating equipment — with a primary focus on Generator services — including technical commentary on customer specifications, pricing strategy, and required tender documentation.
• Lead commercial risk review for your proposals: assess Terms & Conditions (T&Cs), identify contractual exposure, and ensure risks are properly mitigated and approved before submission.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, and Finance to align on scope, cost, and deal structure — ensuring proposals are both technically sound and commercially viable.
• Own the end-to-end commercial process for each bid, maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with GE Vernova's commercial policies throughout.
• Manage a clean and thorough project handover to the execution team upon contract award, ensuring continuity and clarity on all agreed commitments.
• Build and apply your understanding of the German power service market — including competitive dynamics and customer needs — to sharpen proposal strategy and positioning.
