Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Market Strategy Development: Create and execute commercial strategies to expand market presence and drive sales of beauty products across retail, wholesale and e-commerce in Mexico.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including retailers, distributors and influencers, to foster brand loyalty and growth.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on beauty trends, consumer preferences, and competitive dynamics in Mexico to inform strategic decisions.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new opportunities, such as partnerships with beauty retailers, wholesalers and e-commerce platforms, to expand market reach.
  • Brand Alignment: Collaborate with marketing to ensure commercial strategies align with brand identity, product launches, and promotional campaigns.
  • Budget Management: Develop and oversee budgets for commercial activities, optimizing profitability while maintaining brand standards.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure all commercial activities adhere to Mexican regulations, including cosmetic product standards and import/export requirements.
  • Reporting: Deliver regular reports on sales performance, market insights, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution of commercial objectives.
  • Perform other duties as needed and directed by management.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales, business development, or commercial management.
  • At least 3 years in a leadership role within the beauty or consumer goods industry in Mexico.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken) is required.
  • Deep understanding of the Mexican beauty market, including trends in cosmetics, beauty and wellness as well as consumer behavior and retail dynamics.
  • Proven ability to drive sales growth and meet ambitious targets in the beauty industry.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and develop actionable strategies.
  • Leadership experience with a track record of motivating high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Passionate about beauty, strategic thinker, adaptability, and thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment.

  • Established network of contacts in the Mexican beauty industry, including retailers, distributors, and social media influencers.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms and digital marketing in the beauty sector.
  • Knowledge of international beauty trends and cross-border commercial operations.
  • Understanding of the import process and customs clearance of cosmetics into Mexico from international markets and the Norther Border Free Zone.
