About the role...
Are you a person who enjoys building strong customer relationships while staying close to the numbers and driving commercial performance? Are you motivated by owning results, spotting opportunities, and making things happen in a fast-paced FMCG environment? Then this might just be the opportunity for you!

In this role, you’ll…
• Own the day-to-day performance of key national customer accounts, delivering sales, margin, and KPI targets.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with customer contacts across buying, supply chain, technical, and finance.
• Deliver joint business plans, proactively identifying risks and opportunities and taking action.
• Stay close to the numbers—using data and insight to guide decisions and drive performance.
• Support category reviews, product launches, range changes, and promotions with strong execution.
• Work cross-functionally with category, innovation, operations, and finance to meet customer needs.
• Grow your commercial capability, taking on increasing ownership and complexity over time.
You can do this if you…
• Have experience in a commercial, customer-facing role within FMCG, fresh food, or a retail-facing business.
• Understand core commercial metrics like sales, margin, and forecasting—and enjoy working with data.
• Are a confident communicator who builds rapport and manages relationships effectively.
• Are organised, reliable, and detail-focused, with strong follow-through.
• Enjoy working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Bring curiosity, energy, and a willingness to learn and challenge constructively.
• Take ownership and are motivated to grow your capability and impact.
You’ll do this for us…
• Deliver strong commercial performance across your accounts, ensuring we meet our commitments and targets.
• Represent Vitacress professionally and confidently in all customer interactions.
• Identify and support growth opportunities that strengthen both our business and our customers’ categories.
• Ensure high-quality forecasting, planning, and communication across internal teams.
• Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing commercial team culture.
• Help us live our values—delivering quality, doing the right thing, and nurturing the future.

About Vitacress

At Vitacress, we take great pride in being one of Europe’s leading suppliers of watercress, leafy salads, spinach and fresh herbs. Grown from our farms in the UK, Portugal and Spain, and from our glasshouses in the UK, we work together to produce fresh leafy salads and herbs – all year round.

We started in 1951 with ambition, determination and 1 precious acre of watercress beds in Alresford, Hampshire.

Our people are expert growers and we supply both own-label branded products to major supermarkets across Europe as well as our own premium quality SEASON herbs and prepared salad bags, Steve’s Leaves, directly to the consumer.

We are proud of being at the forefront of food innovation, always developing ways to make our premium product tastier whilst ensuring we produce a great quality and sustainable product.

We believe in creating an environment where people are valued and listened to. Where you can grow your skills. Where support and opportunities enable you to flourish. We are one team with a shared vision: to grow ourselves, our business and leave things better than we found them. We work towards this together.

1,500 people work together across the UK, Portugal, Spain and the Netherlands to produce our premium produce from farm to fork. Collectively, our expert growers have over 400 years of experience between them. We're looking for people who can bring a diversity of thinking to enhance our expertise and passion.
