Commercial Manager

Location: Lytham St Annes, Lancashire
Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum

The Role

We are looking for an organised, commercially minded and highly driven Commercial Manager to support the execution of VetPlus' commercial strategy.

Working closely with the Commercial Director, you will take ownership of the day-to-day coordination, activation and delivery of key commercial initiatives across our international business. This is a pivotal role that sits at the centre of multiple departments, ensuring strategic priorities are successfully translated into action and delivered on time.

The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, capable of managing multiple projects, influencing stakeholders and driving results across teams and territories.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Delivery & Coordination

  • Manage and maintain central commercial delivery plans for key initiatives.

  • Take ownership of commercial activation and follow through once strategic direction has been agreed.

  • Monitor progress, resolve delivery issues and ensure key actions are completed.

  • Provide concise updates and escalate significant risks or challenges where required.

  • Ensure commercial priorities agreed in meetings are effectively implemented.

Commercial Activation & Market Readiness

  • Coordinate the successful rollout of commercial initiatives across global markets.

  • Ensure marketing materials, sales support tools and training resources are available when required.

  • Monitor implementation across subsidiaries and distributor networks.

  • Gather results, feedback and market intelligence to support future decision-making.

New Product Launches

  • Coordinate commercial input into new product development and launch activities.

  • Work with international teams to ensure market readiness and launch success.

  • Monitor launch progress and identify risks or delays.

  • Support post-launch reviews and feedback collection.

Commercial Analysis & Reporting

  • Coordinate commercial reporting and ensure data is submitted accurately and on time.

  • Consolidate information from international markets and identify trends, opportunities and risks.

  • Support performance tracking against agreed commercial objectives.

  • Deliver meaningful insights to support strategic decision-making.

Partnership Programme Management

  • Coordinate the implementation and administration of VetPlus' Partnership Programme.

  • Maintain programme documentation, records and performance reporting.

  • Monitor market adoption and completion of agreed actions.

  • Ensure all territories operate to the latest programme standards.

Competitor Intelligence

  • Manage the central competitor analysis database.

  • Coordinate the collection and maintenance of market intelligence.

  • Monitor competitor activity and identify potential commercial implications.

  • Support the Commercial Director with competitor insight and recommendations.

Commercial Training & Development

  • Coordinate commercial training programmes for new and existing employees.

  • Ensure training schedules, attendees and resources are organised effectively.

  • Monitor attendance and completion rates.

  • Gather feedback and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Events & Commercial Engagement

  • Coordinate commercial activities linked to exhibitions, conferences and distributor meetings.

  • Work closely with Marketing and Events teams to deliver successful commercial events.

  • Ensure leads, actions and opportunities generated from events are tracked and followed up.

  • Support the planning and execution of international distributor meetings and partnership trips.

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in a senior marketing leadership role.

  • Previous experience in a commercial, marketing, product, sales operations or similar business role.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales, customer and market data.

  • Excellent project management and organisational skills.

  • Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, projects and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Confident using data and reporting tools, including Excel.
