Commercial Manager
The Commercial Manager is responsible for supporting commercial activities across Central & Eastern Europe and South & North America by providing cost analysis, offer preparation, and market insights. This role ensures high-quality, competitive proposals and drives commercial excellence through data-driven decision-making and close cross-functional collaboration.
The position contributes directly to business growth by managing cost estimations, supporting negotiations, and identifying opportunities to strengthen the company’s market position.
Key Responsibilities
• Offer Preparation & Tender Support: Prepare and manage offer documentation, including collaboration with subcontractors, evaluation of received offers, and support throughout the tendering process.
• Cost Estimation & Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and maintain quantitative and cost data related to ongoing and completed projects. Prepare cost estimates for tenders and ensure accuracy and competitiveness of commercial offers.
• Opportunities & Risk Management: Identify commercial opportunities and risks within the assigned area and support the development and implementation of mitigation and optimization actions.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, procurement, finance, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective execution of commercial activities.
• Market Intelligence & Price Trends: Monitor market developments, including pricing trends for materials and services, and incorporate insights into cost calculations and commercial strategies.
• Negotiation Support: Support contract negotiations, particularly in the cost and pricing areas, to ensure competitive and sustainable business outcomes.
• Process & Tool Management: Maintain and develop cost estimation tools and databases to ensure consistency, efficiency, and continuous improvement of commercial processes.
• Contract Review & Optimization: Analyze the commercial sections of offers to strengthen competitiveness and improve cost positioning.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure all activities are carried out in line with internal policies, standards, and applicable regulations.
This position reports to VP TMU (Technology Modernization and Upgrades)
Location: Sosnowiec, Poland (hybrid). Other locations may be considered.
