SGN is seeking a commercially astute and proactive Commercial Manager to support the management of strategic supplier and contractor relationships across our operational portfolio. This role plays a key part in ensuring robust commercial governance, effective contract management and strong supplier performance, supporting the safe and efficient delivery of services across the business.
We are looking for someone who can build strong relationships, influence stakeholders at all levels and provide commercial leadership across a range of operational and infrastructure contracts. This is an excellent opportunity to make a tangible impact within a regulated environment whilst supporting operational delivery, managing commercial risk and driving continuous improvement.

· Managing strategic supplier and contractor relationships to support operational delivery;
· Ensuring effective commercial governance and contract management across allocated contracts;
· Identifying, managing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks;
· Supporting the resolution of commercial issues, disputes and change events;
· Driving supplier performance, value for money and continuous improvement initiatives; and
· Working collaboratively with Operations, Procurement, Finance, Legal and Health & Safety teams to deliver positive business outcomes.
What you will need
· Experience in Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying, Procurement, Contract Management or a related discipline;
· Strong understanding of contract management principles, commercial governance and risk management;
· Experience managing operational, infrastructure, utility or construction-related contracts;
· Skilled at working collaboratively with stakeholders and adapting communication and negotiation approaches;
· Ability to analyse commercial and financial information and provide clear recommendations;
· Experience of working within a regulated, operational or safety-critical environment is desirable;
· Knowledge of NEC contracts would be advantageous;
· Presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively to a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management; and
· A full and valid driving licence is desirable but not essential.
