Responsibilities

Job Purpose

Support Commercial Management department in providing compliance, commercial, financial management, and analytical services for Pattern’s fleet of operating wind farms, to ensure that opportunities and risk mitigation strategies are executed effectively.

Key Accountabilities

The key responsibilities will include the following:

Process Documentation and Review

  • Review Asset Management and Energy Management processes necessary to comply with key commercial contracts (e.g., Power Purchase Agreements, Renewable Energy Credit Purchase and Sale Agreements, etc.), specifically delivery obligations and timelines, compliance requirements, and supporting documentation.
  • Shadow Associates/Managers to understand and document monthly, quarterly, and annual processes and execution of contractual obligations.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain operational documentation, reports and internal records; update internal knowledge bases, systems of records, operating procedures.
  • Track action items, project milestones, and departmental deliverables to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Partner with other departments to support business operations and organizational initiatives.
  • Compile data and assist with operational metrics and performance tracking.
  • Collaborate with Asset Managers and Directors to identify pain points and opportunities for efficiency throughout the department and recommend administrative solutions.

Special Projects

  • Assist Asset and Energy Management teams in special projects designed to produce continuous improvement in the Asset Management or Operations group.
  • Build on knowledge created from process documentation to improve processes and/or create new ones in collaboration with Regulatory, and other internal SMEs.

Qualifications

Experience/Qualifications/Education Required

Educational Experience

  • Working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, engineering or a related field is preferred, administrative experience required.

  • Must possess strengths in the following:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong motivation and ability to work with little supervision or guidance.
  • Strong learning skills and the ability to independently research, understand, and implement knowledge in new areas.
  • Ability to work seamlessly across a wide range of disciplines both within and outside the group and the company to achieve project objectives.
  • Ability to read, understand and implement legal contracts.
  • Ability to understand technical operational matters and translate them to commercial and financial analyses and decision making.
  • Interest in renewable energy, power markets, commercial and financial management, facility operations, and project management.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for assessing data and tracking metrics.
  • Proficient in technical writing.
  • Ideally experienced with large datasets, PowerBI, ERP and CRM systems, but not required.
