About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist as part of the Commercial Banking team within Commercial Banking Operations (CBO). This team supports bilateral loans and their transactions. Learn more about our career areas and business divisions at wellsfargojobs.com

The Specialist will be responsible for the end-to-end servicing of commercial loans, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of operational processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with LoanIQ and a strong understanding of commercial lending operations.


In this role, you will:

  • Manage the end-to-end servicing of bilateral commercial loans, including payments, rate resets, clearing exceptions, reconciliations, and moderately complex research requests
  • Coordinate all aspects of resolving open customer service issues and interact with internal and external customers
  • Provide customer service, loan and regulatory diligence and ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • ​Maintain and update loan records in LoanIQ, ensuring data integrity and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as primary liaison and work collaboratively with Credit, Legal, Control and Relationship Management, Audit, and various Operations and company teams as necessary to progress accurate documentation and servicing
  • Process loan transactions such as drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, and fee accruals, evaluate risks, and devise strategies to mitigate risks and identify procedural modifications
  • Reconcile loan balances and resolve discrepancies with internal teams and external counterparties
  • Provide guidance and training to peers
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements​


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Commercial Loan Servicing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience with LoanIQ
  • 2+ years of experience servicing bilateral commercial loans
  • Strong understanding and demonstrated knowledge of bilateral loan structures, servicing requirements and commercial banking regulatory requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Ability to provide strong customer service and to develop customer relationships
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work hybrid schedule
  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
