Job Description

Jefferson Bank is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Commercial Loan Quality Control Checkback Specialist to support the accuracy, completeness, and ongoing maintenance of commercial loan documentation and servicing records. This position plays a critical role in quality control, loan booking verification, exception tracking, lien documentation, and customer service support to ensure the bank's commercial loan portfolio remains compliant and operationally sound. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Loan Quality Control and Booking
• Review and process previous-day booked commercial loan notes, including payoffs associated with refinancing transactions.
• Book new commercial loan notes and verify accuracy of loan setup and documentation.
• Perform quality control reviews to ensure loan records are complete and accurate.
• Assist with payments related to deed recordings, title policies, and title letter reports. Exception Tracking and Documentation
• Monitor and maintain commercial loan exception reports.
• Generate and manage monthly loan exception reports.
• Track UCC filings requiring renewals or new filings and coordinating completion of required actions.
• Quarterly review of missing title policies, title commitments, title letter reports, and recorded deeds of trust, coordinating follow-up with title companies as needed. Customer and Internal Support
• Assist lenders and loan officers with servicing requests, including: o Processing payments and advances o Researching loan histories o Providing operational support and documentation assistance
• Respond to inquiries from internal departments and external partners regarding loan documentation and collateral records. Accounting and Operational Support
• Balance and reconcile the Commercial General Ledger account(s) assigned to the department.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous banking, loan operations, loan servicing, quality control, or lending administration experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
