
We are excited to announce that we are seeking candidates for a Commercial Loan Processor I position. From day one, you’ll join a collaborative, service-oriented team dedicated to supporting customer-owners while advancing Farm Credit of the Virginias’ mission to serve agriculture and rural communities. In this role, you’ll prepare, process, close, and fund commercial loan transactions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a high-quality customer experience.
You’ll work closely with lending teams, underwriters, attorneys, title companies, and other business partners to support the delivery of commercial lending solutions through accurate and compliant loan documentation.
Salary Range: $39,100–$55,500 plus incentive opportunities
Location Options: Staunton, VA; Roanoke, VA
Responsibilities/Duties:
• Processes, closes, and funds commercial loans and servicing actions while ensuring accurate documentation, data entry, and compliance with approved credit packages.
• Prepares commitments, notes, lien instruments, and other loan documents and confirms all loan conditions are satisfied prior to closing.
• Reviews collateral documentation to ensure proper lien position, accuracy of records, and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Coordinates with loan officers, underwriters, attorneys, title companies, and other business partners to facilitate accurate and timely loan closings.
• Performs post-closing reviews to verify loan data accuracy, maintain internal financial controls, and review final title policies.
• Creates and processes funding transactions, including checks and wire transfers, related to commercial real estate and other commercial loans.
• Maintains organized loan files and supports quality control, audit readiness, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Provides responsive customer service and supports timely processing in alignment with service level expectations.
• Safeguards sensitive information and complies with security, risk management, and information security policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One plus year of professional work experience.
• Experience processing detailed forms and documents with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and apply sound judgment.
• Proficiency with computer software applications and technology systems.
• Knowledge of credit, accounting, loan processing procedures, or financial services preferred.
• Ability to travel occasionally for training or business needs and work overtime as necessary to meet customer demands.
