Overview

The associate is responsible for managing one or more Senior Commercial Banking Solutions Assistants, quality of loan files, documentation, coordination and accuracy of loan closings, managing funding of participations and syndications, overseeing preparation of loan documents and negotiation thereof. The Commercial Banking Solutions Administrative Manager takes a lead role in daily loan functions and may be asked to make independent judgments and decisions. Will manage Commercial Real Estate, Corporate Banking, and Asset Based Lending portfolios.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage Loan Closings, as follows:
  • Order appraisal bids, appraisals and provide Appraisal Department with subject property information
  • Coordinate closing calls to review loan documents with Borrower’s and Lender’s counsel
  • Carefully review draft of all loan documents with loan officer, then consult with Lender counsel on changes
  • Ensure loan approval corresponds to loan documents
  • Review insurance requirements prior to closing and ensure changes as needed
  • Review all environmental reports, prepare environmental checklist and coordinate review of environmental reports when necessary
  • Coordinate all loan documents for booking on loan bank system
  • Ensure loan is properly booked after closing
  • Ongoing portfolio maintenance/monitoring, as follows
  • Maintain ongoing insurance requirements for all properties in the CRE portfolio
  • Assist with opening/closing of accounts, online banking, wire transfers and other treasury management products/services
  • Regularly communicate directly with clients on banking issues/concerns/questions
  • Maintain pipeline data for senior management and loan officers
  • Provide portfolio data to senior management and loan officers
  • Clear exception by working with counsel and loan operations
  • Assist with buying and selling of participations and the flow of documents between participating banks
  • Other Duties, as follows:
  • Manage at least one Senior Commercial Banking Solutions Assistant
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements For Success

  • 4 years’ college degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a financial organization performing similar duties
  • Excellent knowledge of loans
  • Excellent understanding of loan documents
  • Ability to coordinate several loan closings at once
  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage and lead others
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment; good keyboarding and computer skills
  • Knowledge of mainframe (navigator) and Laser Pro
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Detail oriented
  • Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position manages employees and is responsible for the coaching, development, and performance management of those employees.

This is a full-time position that requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

TRAVEL

This position requires less than 5% travel.

Pay Range

USD $60,466.00 - USD $93,119.00 /Yr.
