This position requires a highly detailed individual with knowledge of regulatory guidelines and loan documentation. Reviews commercial and agricultural loan files to prevent loss due to documentation risk. Provides review checklist to Loan Officer, Loan Assistant and Loan Processor prior to loan closings. Ensures loan files are complete and ready for loan closings. Provides a variety of clerical duties which requires knowledge of department and lending procedures. Provide ongoing suggestions of departmental changes in order to continually improve workflow and workflow efficiencies.

Duties:

  • Review commercial and agricultural files for completeness prior to new loan closings
  • Review file for correct legal borrower and correct signatures
  • Ensure completed lien searches and reviews
  • Ensure loans are closing as approved and within lender authorities and policy guidelines
  • Ensure Title Insurance is completed, reviewed and exceptions are cleared
  • Ensure Appraisals are appropriate for transaction and perform Appraisal Reviews
  • Ensuring compliance with all federal and state banking regulations
  • Verify rates and terms with current pricing parameters
  • Ensure all required documentation for closing is in closing document package
  • Ensure post-close secondary market documentation is filed appropriately
  • Assist in loan covenant tracking and other line tickler reports
  • Document Exceptions Report
  • Continue to enhance performance through various training and compliance seminars
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Understanding of appropriate regulations and ability to work well under deadlines is necessary
  • Proven ability to accurately prepare and deliver documentation, projects, and tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in the origination, underwriting, and closing of commercial and agriculture loans would be beneficial
  • Two to Four years experience in Commercial/Agricultural documentation is preferred

Skills

  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail is required
  • Must have strong communication and phone skills, confidentiality and basic computer skills

Work Environment

  • Primarily office or branch-based environment with standard business hours. Occasional travel to other branch locations or community events may be required
  • Daily extended use of banking software, secure digital platforms, and standard office equipment
  • Repetitive hand and arm movements
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed
