Job Description

The Commercial Loan Coordinator Manager is responsible for managing and leading the Commercial Loan Coordinator team that provides a high level of support and service to Commercial Loan Officers while also maintaining a reduced personal portfolio of loan coordination responsibilities. This position ensures that coordinators effectively partner with Commercial Loan Officers to drive more business as well as partner with Underwriters, and Processors to deliver accurate, efficient, and compliant loan files while maintaining a high level of service to members and vendors. The manager serves as both a leader and subject matter expert, guiding the team to meet department goals while streamlining workflows and enhancing the loan officer and member experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage, coach, and develop commercial loan coordinators to ensure performance standards are consistently met.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and professional growth opportunities to coordinators, ensuring they fully understand their role in the loan process.
  • Assign and balance workloads, monitor productivity, and conduct performance evaluations and team member SDP’s on time.
  • Act as a resource and escalation point for coordinators when complex loan issues or questions arise.
  • Ensure coordinators accurately review and process all applications.
  • Oversee coordinator communication with members, ensuring professionalism and accuracy.
  • Ensure strong internal and external communication throughout the loan process, including interaction with members, vendors, and internal partners.
  • Standardize best practices for loan coordination process to drive efficiency and consistency across the team.
  • Maintain a limited portfolio of commercial loan coordination responsibilities to support departmental workflow and model best practices.
  • Monitor loan pipelines, file quality, and turnaround times to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with other Commercial Teams and Managers to align coordinator support with department goals.
  • Promote a culture of service excellence within the team.
  • Stay current on industry trends, best practices, vendor opportunities and regulatory requirements for commercial lending.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered. Five or more years of commercial lending, credit, or loan operations experience with at least 2 years in leadership or supervisory role preferred. Strong knowledge of commercial loan documentation, loan servicing, regulatory compliance, and member service standards. Excellent communication and people skills with an eye for detail. Able to work under pressure and multi-task in an organized manner.

Performance Standard:

Must take pride in department by processing and assisting with loans in a timely and efficient manner with a high attention to detail. Must be professional and courteous in manner, with a strong sense of urgency as well as focuses on attendance, quality and quantity of work performed. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.

Physical Requirements:

  • Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.).
  • Sit for extended periods of time.
  • Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper, cash drawers, marketing material, etc.
  • Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Reach keyboards.
  • Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
