Shumaker is seeking an experienced litigation associate to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of commercial litigation experience and be able to work independently on business disputes, including contract, insurance coverage, real estate, franchise, and regulatory cases. The ideal candidate should have strong writing skills, be able to draft pleadings and motions, and feel confident going to both state and federal court, working solo or as a team on complex cases.
This attorney will work in our Toledo, Ohio office, or hybrid within the regional area. While the position can be primarily remote, we will require travel to the Toledo office 2-3 times per month for in-person collaboration and connection. This allows us to maintain a strong team culture while offering flexibility in where you work day-to-day.
