Location: Rexburg, Idaho (preferred) or Idaho Falls, Idaho – Hybrid (2–3 days in office)
Target Compensation: $60,000–$80,000 base salary + full benefits
We are seeking a Commercial Lines Insurance Professional specializing in Agriculture Accounts This role is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of agribusiness clients throughout Idaho. You will work closely with farmers, ranchers, and agricultural operations to assess risk, recommend coverage, and provide ongoing service and support.
This is an in-office role with hybrid flexibility: ideally based in Rexburg with 1–2 days per week in-office, though an Idaho Falls office location is also available.
Manage a portfolio of commercial agribusiness clients, providing consultative service and risk management guidance.
Market new and renewal business to carriers, negotiate terms, and secure competitive quotes.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for farming operations, including crops, livestock, equipment, property, and liability.
Educate clients on coverage options including farm/ranch insurance, crop coverage, equipment breakdown, business interruption, and environmental liability.
Develop strong relationships with underwriters and carriers that specialize in agriculture products.
Handle all client servicing needs including renewals, endorsements, certificates, claims coordination, and audits.
Proactively identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell appropriate insurance solutions.
Ensure compliance with state regulations and internal quality standards.
Collaborate with Producers, Account Managers, and service teams to ensure a positive client experience.
1–3 years of commercial insurance experience (agriculture accounts preferred but not required).
Active Idaho Property & Casualty Insurance License, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Knowledge of agricultural operations and insurance products relevant to farming/ranching strongly preferred.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency in agency management systems and insurance rating platforms.
Ability to travel regionally within Idaho as needed.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with crop insurance or USDA-related programs.
Background or education in agriculture, agribusiness, or rural communities.
Professional designations such as AFIS (Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist) or CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor).
